How does the design process work?
- DISCUSS - We start by having a phone consultation and discuss your needs and business goals.You will need to complete a brief based on your business so I get a full understanding of what you want to achieve with the project.
- RESEARCH - Based on your brief, I do a bunch of in-depth research. I look at your target audiences, competitors and anything else that may help the design process.
- CONCEPT - I get to work and design a concept/s based on the research and brief you've provided. I then present these concepts to you for proofing.
- PRODUCTION - Changes are made to the design (if needed) based on your feedback and discussion. I then send revised copies and we communicate to ensure you are 100% happy with the final design.
- DELIGHTED CLIENT - Once you are happy with the completed project I send all relevant files to you. Delighted Client!
My Sister-in-laws Uncles best mates son offers to design my logo for $50.00. Why should I pay you to design my logo?
Unless they are qualified and experienced in the industry you usually get what you pay for. You need to be aware of what professional graphic design and web design involves and that what you are getting designed has not been “taken” or “borrowed” from a clipart site. Do some research and ask questions.
Do you offer payment plans?
I understand what it's like to run a small business so I'm happy to offer part payments to pay off your invoice (if it's required). BUT invoices MUST be finalised by the due date, cause hey, I've got a family to feed and bills to pay too.
I'm interested in working with you for your Virtual Assistant services, is there a lock-in contract?
No and this is what makes hiring a Virtual Assistant so attractive. Each party signs a Service Agreement which is provided at the start before any projects are commenced. The Agreement outlines the tasks to be completed, along with a Confidentiality Clause. Should you wish to cancel my services you MUST give me 1 months notice... it's also good business practises and common courtesy.
When can I contact you and do you work weekends or after hours?
I can be contacted by phone from 9:00AM - 4:00PM Monday to Friday. Weekend requirements can be accommodated, depending on my current workload and other commitments. I'm available on mobile after hours via prior arrangement and I'm always available on email.
Will you handle my documents in confidentially?
Absolutely! All documents and information will be held in the strictest confidence as set out in the Service Agreement.
How can I correspond with you?
Email, mobile, Skype and Zoom are the best ways to get in touch with me. Technology is great isn’t it!?
How do I send large electronic files to you?
Larger files would be sent via a secure online program called Dropbox. It’s super simple to use. I can talk you through it if you haven't used it before.
Do you offer Web Design services?
Yes I do, in my Graphic Design services! I can maintain your website, add new content, design banners and sliders, build your website from scratch, or overhaul an existing website. Continue to explore this website – which I lovingly designed, and check out my design portfolio!
Are there any hidden costs?
I’m all about being upfront with my clients, particularly when additional costs are involved. I will be in contact with you to discuss your options before I continue with that particular project. Check out my packages. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.
I need this yesterday, can you help?
If you need something with a fast turnaround (within 48 hours) I may be able to squeeze it in. I'll drop everything and move you to the front of the line. Of course a 50% fee applies to the invoice of all rush jobs needed within 48 hours. It's best to get in touch with me first and ask nicely to see what other work I have on.
Can you look after my email for me? If so, how is this done?
Yes I can look after your emails. There are a number of ways you can grant me access to your inbox. The most common approach is to create a copy of your inbox on my computer, using Microsoft Outlook or Apple Mail. If you are using a cloud server such as Gmail, I can log on via a web browser.
What programs do you use?
I'm setup on a Mac platform. I work with Microsoft Office 360 for administrative tasks and Adobe Creative Suite (CS6) for design work. I share files using Dropbox and Google Drive. I’m also available on Skype and Zoom for meetings and conference calls.
